Why is it?

I know I need to make a change, but I am too damned tired to actually do it.

Am I letting things slide, hoping that I will be forced into making the change?

Damned if I know. It's not really procrastination and it is not really fear...it is almost complacency.

Sounds like you might be burnt out. It's okay to feel that way.

It also sounds like you're feeling stuck and unsure about how to move forward. One thing that might help is to explore what's behind your complacency. Are you feeling overwhelmed or drained, like you're running on empty? Sometimes, when we're feeling tired or depleted, it's hard to muster the energy to make changes.

Another thing to consider is what's driving your desire to make a change. What are your goals and values, and how do they align with the changes you want to make? Sometimes, when we connect with our deeper motivations and values, it can give us the boost we need to take action.

You might also ask yourself, what's the smallest step you could take right now to move towards change? Sometimes, taking tiny actions can build momentum and help us feel more energized and motivated.

It's also possible that you're feeling stuck because you're trying to tackle too much at once. Instead of looking at the big picture, try to focus on one small thing you can change today. That might help you build confidence and momentum.

You have a lot to work through but you can do it. Take just one step at a time.

I'm also forced to consider that perhaps you're complacent because you really don't want to change and want to remain just the way you are without all the hassle and be fine with that but you may be feeling guilty even about that. You are your own person and whatever you decide, give yourself permission to do so without putting stress on yourself. When you're on your own, you make your own rules. You're not bound by anything, unless you want to stress yourself out thinking so. And whatever you choose, who cares? That's your personal business and no matter what, you should give yourself permission to feel good about it. You're not committing a sin by being true to yourself. We can become all stressed out wearing so much about what other people think about what we're doing. And if the truth were known, they're probably jealous cuz you are free as a bird and you can do anything you want and don't have to answer to a soul. 😂 That's the only reason people get hyped up about it and negative towards you. They're jealous but they'd never admit it. But you know what someday you'll run into a friend that just loves you for who you are and just the way you are, and that is a true friend! A true friend doesn't try to change you or fit you into their mold or their idea of what they think you should do or what you should be. They just let you be.
