So I found out what he was planning
It was a very calm and quiet night here. Since the boys were at Joel's ex-wife's house it was just us and our daughter.
I decided to do laundry after dinner so we could watch the Royals game. Still waiting to find out whatever Joel was planning for me.
I get the laundry basket and go to our room set it on the ground throw the cat out of it open the hamper throw the cat out of the hamper and put the dirty clothes in the basket.
I pick up the basket and take it into our daughter's room. Toss the cat out of the basket and put her dirty clothes in it and head into the boys room.
Once again I have to toss the cat out of the basket and get their clothes out of the hamper. This time I let the cat stay in the in the basket and I walk into the laundry room
I open the washer and pick up the dirty clothes. I moved the cat out of the washer and put the dirty clothes in and start it. Pick up the the baskets leaving the cat in there and I walk into the living room. I dropped the basket on the floor sorry cat.
There is our suitcase sitting in the middle of the living room. It wasn't there before. I see Joel standing in the living room with a big goofy grin on his face in a Post-It note on his shirt.
I walked over to him and look at the post-it note and it says go to Branson for the weekend with Joel.
I pulled the post-it note off this shirt and look at him.
A weekend getaway just the two of us. How can I say no. I don't even ask him for details because I know he has everything planned out and I don't need to worry about anything.
