Right now I’d want to be in the Canary Islands

@CookieCrumbs Yes. The fantastic sombre colours of those mountains in the Timanfaya national park. The heat from the still active volcano a few feet beneath one. The vines growing in man-made hollows so that they are nurtured by the morning dew. The many beaches not all of them black sand. The green lagoon. To mention just Lanzarote.

That’s what we did too. Went all over the islands to capture sunrise and sunsets at diff beaches.

@CookieCrumbs On my last but one visit to mainland Spain I narrowly avoided a collision. I noticed this car coming in from the right, the driver looking at her companion rather than the road. So I prepared for an emergency stop and it was needed. The Canaries are safer for driving. Greece is a nightmare; they overtake on the hard shoulder and a red light means accelerate!
