Campcation

Im no longer a camping virgin. Saturday we went on our one day campcation and came home in the morning. Yeah it was fun. It's just something I'd have to get use to. We set up our zip up house started a fire and ate maple beans and sausages with leftover cornbread and iced tea for dinner. We sat by the fire, played Jenga and enjoyed the scenery. I didn't sleep well at all. I didn't drift off to sleep until about 2am. It was too cold for me. Thought it was gonna be a nice romantic evening under the stars telling stories and falling asleep in each other's arms by the crackling fire under the moonlight..😂 not even close. My boyfriend seemed to fall asleep with no problem. I felt unprotected and scared. It was hard to keep warm in the tent and I kept hearing noises. I kept the tent zipper down a little so I could peek out every time I heard a noise. All I could think about was a nosy animal snooping around in our tent and getting mauled. And it was uncomfortable sleeping on the ground. I wish I had a blow up bed. My back does not do well on hard surfaces. The best part of the trip was the nature walk. We got up early and bonded with Mother nature. We saw some elks behind the trees. It was very peaceful. I'd definitely go camping again but it would have to be warmer outside. I know there are some campgrounds in Montana that have cabins. I'll have to check those out because the tent situation I don't think I can handle again.
