I knew an American deserter (circa Vietnam war) who made his way to Canada. He couldn't get work so for a time he survived on 'Pine Floats". He would go to a restaurant and order a glass of water and a tooth pick. The waitress would always laugh and give him a glass of water. He would then pour ketchup in the water and that would be his free meal.
@hippyjoe1955 That's the beauty of it. Just grab handfuls of ketchup packets from fast food joints, and presto! A grocery hack! 😆
