Do you ever just feel like you are bored with the world and nothing in it will excite you long enough?

I have depression, and I know it's ~masking~ my thoughts or whatever, but the feeling still feels genuine. Except while on antidepressants it just feels like I can ignore it. @Dainbramadge

@offingg I had to go through a lot of medications to finally get some that kind of work. Some thing like 46% of bi/polar people are diagnosed as being depressed. Thats what happened to me. I got real crazy on the depression meds. I would sleep for days and then be up for days. It was crazy. What meds do you take?

@Dainbramadge used to take a fairly new medication called valdoxen then prozac. I'm just convinced while antidepressants are a great tool at keeping you stable, they never fix anything. Maybe tons and tons and tons of therapy + behavioral modifications will work, but should it really be this hard to actually want to live?

@offingg Well ... if you have mental problems you will feel the drag of it until you get the chemicals ironed out. It's possible that prozac might not be right for you either.

@offingg Try not to let that feeling keep you from getting help. I had to go through about 16 meds and dosage changes and stuff. But now I can really see how I used to get down and stay there for days even weeks. But now I am closer to functional.
There are about 72 types of antidepressants so you still have lots to try yet. I am sure you feel like it isn't worth it.. but it is.
