why do so many so-called "Christians" have to hate pagans and wiccans?

@NorthernRoses That's the thing.. There are none.. Wiccans don't believe in Satan or the devil - that's a Christian belief

@Byebyebye123 I mean, there definitely are links between Wicca and satanism. One of the two gods of traditional Wicca is a horned man, often pictured with a goat head and looking similar - if not indistinguishable - from satanism's Baphomet.

@NorthernRoses I understand what you mean, but paganism/wiccan is an older religion then Christianity, so a lot of the images were used to vilify the pagans and make a connection with the devil.. so people would turn away from the religion and become Christian instead. I hope that makes sense .. lol

@Byebyebye123 Wiccan is sadly not older than Christianity. I'm pretty sure it was made by Gerald Gardner in the 1940s/1950s.

Also, another point; Satanism IS pagan. Satanism is a branch of paganism, like Wicca and Asatru.

I agree on the Wiccan dates, yes.. paganism is older, I don't understand how it can be linked to Satanism, when they don't believe in Satan. or are you comparing to the general consensus that anyone who don't believe in god, must believe in satan?

@Byebyebye123 Paganism is an umbrella term. Satanism is a Pagan religion. So while Paganism isn't necessarily Satanistic, Satanism is pagan.

@NorthernRoses It may be now, but; never was until the Christian came about and created it belief in Satan. I guess that was the point I was trying to make.

Not arguing.. really just trying to understand how a type or religion (pagan) that was around for hundreds of years before Christ or the devil can be linked.. when it should be linked the religion that identified it..
