It has happened on occasion.
If you work in social work there's always a risk that you'll get it from a slightly unhinged client or their family.
Worst one though was from my ex-wife and three friends !
They were waiting for me one night when I got home.
What felt like an hour long assault was probably only a minute or two.
But it left me in hospital for three weeks. One of which I was in a coma for !!

I recognised two of them from somewhere but it drove me nuts trying to remember where from !
Any hoo. I have descriptions to the cops. My neighbours heard the noise and the subsequent speeding off of cars and called the police.
Good thing too or I might have died there !

Not sure. The few times someone pointed a gun at me, they were just trying to scare me. One guy shot between my feet, which was also just to scare me. I've been beaten by multiple assailants, but the worst I suffered was bruises, a split lip and a sprained knee, which is agony.

@SW-User I was afraid when he fired, but having a gun pointed at me didn't frighten me, which is probably why he fired

I've been at gunpoint once and knifepoint a few times. Also broken up fights where people were trying to kill each other. And I've gotten in a couple scuffles myself. Don't think I've had anyone actively try to kill me though.
