@PeaceFrog2 I got married two days after I was legally able to do so on my own. It lasted for 3 years. Yeah I was, and am young.

There is the relief that you don't have to worry about going through hell anymore, but the literal separation from all you have to define who you are and what your life is can be more painful than any bruise or broken bones. Add to that the fact that wanting the divorce to not be happening because it's so painful but that's so bad because even though he tried to kill you (the incident that finally convinced everyone to give you the damn divorce) and already has another woman in your bed before the broken leg and dislocated shoulder he gave you is healed you have no right to feel like it should be a painless ordeal for you and selfish to boot. Yeah divorce comes with a lot of life altering emotions and ordeals. It can mess with your mind Big time. Especially if the split isn't exactly amicable.
