Why do you no longer talk to the people you stopped talking to?

People come and go.
I've had many friends over the years. Some of whom i've shared major life changing moments with, both good and bad.

I guess, to me at least, it indicates that most folk are in our lives for a while until circumstance leads you to separate and go your own way.
It's when you miss them it hurts.

To make a long story short, it was unrequited love. I couldn't really deal with the knowledge that someone I thought was my forever decided to get a boyfriend. I'm not angry at her. She deserved to be loved. It's just upsetting that I wasn't the one to make her feel that way.

Things got worse and kept getting worse for a long time, but eventually it stopped. I definitely learned a lot of valuable things from our relationship, but I've also definitely been in a worse spot emotionally since.

I haven't stopped interacting. Just that the situations on the part of the other ends have perhaps changed for their better in their offline life so much so that they are more than occupied.
All's good if they are doing good.

Either they were rude, we didn't have things to talk about, the timing was bad, or they didn't seem to care if we stopped talking.
Meh. I forget that we ever talked, usually. My memory is poor.

There will be various reasons. Most of all though it will be because they stopped replying to me. At a time I drop to reach out for them when a pattern shows nothing is coming back.

They decided attention and being lied to was more important than people who will give you the straight up truth and actually try and save you grief.

There are various reasons.
There are some I miss talking to but then I remember it's better this way.

Because I found our conversations pointless.. we're friends for a decade so I feel bad

Because they were a$$holes.

There are broken minds littered all over the Earth. I tend to stop talking to the ones that need me to actively participate in their delusions

A bit sad, but I'm no longer comfortable around them, so there's not much point.
