Something that you use other than aloe?

Apple cider vinegar works amazingly well
CanarysCry · 51-55, F
@CanarysCry: Make sure you are using Braggs Apple cider vinegar with the mother. Any othe vinegar is just garbage.
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@labsrock: haha..true!
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@CanarysCry: Thank you! I'm not sure what brand I have but I'll definitely try it.

@ZeroG: Thank you. I think I'm making it worse because I can't take a cold shower!

@Appalachiangirl: I tried that! It worked a little and pulled the heat out but that smell was awful!
Appalachiangirl · 41-45, F
Yeah, it smells ike vinegar!! Lol. Aloe is good too. Good luck!! It really kills the sunburns
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@Appalachiangirl: Thank you!

Not so much of a remedy, more of a prevention: Holiday in Lapland in January.
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@wetncthru: lol.. a vacation in the Caribbean in June is what got me in trouble! 😂

@PreciousIllusions: These allover tans do require some monitoring.
Depends...how bad is it?
@PreciousIllusions: Then apple cider vinegar, as someone else said, drink lots of water, and maybe take an oatmeal bath if it itches too badly.
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@kiris: That seems to be the popular answer. Definitely trying that when I get home from work!
@PreciousIllusions: It's like that old grandma's remedy that never fails hahah

Soak in a tea bath. Basically turn the tub into a giant cup of tea. It works.
jackson55 · M
Let me know if you find one.
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@jackson55: looks like ACV is the winner!

@PreciousIllusions: I have two daughters both about your age. One developed skin cancer at the age of 30 on her shoulder and one of her but cheeks from laying around the pool naked when she was a teenager. They both had lovely allover tans but they can be expensive. Be careful with the sun.

Do you put the aloe in the fridge?
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@Jkerouac: yea and I even have aloe with Lidocaine! I think that's just a ploy to charge more...lol

Real aloe from the plant, not the crap they sell in bottles. (Sorry I know you asked for something else)
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@Peaceful: haha.. I wish I haf a plant! My mom used to use than when I was a kid. But ouch those thorns but a hurtin on the burn if they prick you!
Peaceful · F
@PreciousIllusions: cut the edges off and then use a spoon to scrape out the insides. You can refrigerate it too. That will help even more. Hope you get relief soon.
PerfectIllusion · 46-50, F
@Peaceful: I'm going to try and find an aloe plant too! Thank you!
