@funnywater6: Many times people don't realize how sick they actually are until they get tested.

@funnywater6: Fortunately I'm in excellent health - I was merely mentioning a few of the many health conditions you can't just work through on your own

Buy some health insurance like they did before Obamacare?
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Antoniuspoe: Not really to start. Once you have a few contracts under your belt you can pay for insurance. It isn't that expensive.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955: And what if your required to produce the insurance certificate before you get the job
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Dlrannie: Keep looking for the job that doesn't require it or else ask if you can work under the contractors insurance like I did.

Healthcare. The longest running joke in America.
Well, start dropping on the street see what happens !
Or maybe turn up at your governors office and ask what you're supposed to do with this ?

What did they do before Obama care? The same people that didn't have healthcare before don't have it now. If you think social healthcare is good just look at the UK. Extremely high taxes, a value added tax on everything you buy. Gas is $8.14 a gallon there. Someone has to pay for it.

@jackson55: I'm sure most of us in the UK are happy with our system overall.
jackson55 · M
@Dlrannie: The majority of the people in the US do not want government controlled socialized health care. And the ones that do want someone else to pay for it. I'm glad you're happy with your system, but we don't want it here.

@hippyjoe1955: All businesses involve labour - do you mean something like a gardener? Service businesses need to market themselves and that requires money
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955: Good for you but it's unlikely to work like that for the millions that need insurance
hippyjoe1955 · 70-79, M
@Dlrannie: I simply used the client's insurance. You never know what you can do until you try.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@hippyjoe1955: Indeed - I run three businesses of my own - the first of which was through complete luck 🙂

I met a lady who became very wealthy. She had taken all of her late grandmother's recipes put them into a book form and sold them door to door. Her initial investment was under $100.00.
