If you choose yes, you would ensure that they would be stronger, smarter, and better looking compared to other kids. They would also be immune from diseases.

If you choose no, they would have be born without any advantages and would be at risk for heritable defects and illnesses.

that is one huge slippery slope...where would it end?

@Fernie: Lots of sci-fi writers have had their theories, and honestly it can range anywhere from utopia to dystopia. We can either better humanity by ridding ourselves of many of our shortcomings, we can live in a caste system between superior and inferior genes, or we can use people as tools in a sort of anthropocentric arms race between countries. It can go many ways

@HalfCactus: Shortcomings? and who exactly will decide what is a shortcoming?
SW-User
@Fernie: The same people that decide it now. Mental illness is stigmatized, nobody wants to date a fat girl or a short guy, pedophilia is demonized, stupid people are seen as a burden, the list can go on. People have the option of eliminating those traits with genetic modification

@Fernie: I'm just asking questions and providing facts. I'm not making any decisions one way or the other
