What does daddy dom mean exactly

I believe the term is supposed to refer to a man who likes to dominate women. This is not to be confused with a sadist who enjoys inflicting pain. A Dominant man likes control and finds it sexy for his woman to want to please and submit to him. A 'Daddy' Dom enjoys acting as an authoritative figure in his sub's life as well and perhaps some role play? I think women are drawn to this because there are less and less 'manly' men in this world of men who've been raised by single mothers and regardless of the direction our society has taken, our DNA still instruct us to find that man.

This is just my opinion. I could be totally off base here as I've never actually been in this relationship. If you're really interested I would suggest looking for some local 'fetlife' type groups. Good luck! =)
