What's the longest online friendship or relationship that you've had?

@PreciousIllusions: no, the friendship had staled and ran its course... I'm okay with it... it's hard for me to really bond to something not physically here... I enjoy talking here, but I think the reason I enjoy this is because I can seperate completely... i can't do that in the real world

@Tryingtofindabalance: That's exactly what I'm afraid of! What happens when you've invested all this time in a friendship and it just stalls out. That leaves a huge void that's gonna hurt like hell! Sounds like you coped with it ok though.

@PreciousIllusions: lol maybe it's the sociopath in me, but I didn't lose a beat... I guess it's disappointing, we did have a few good chats, but I could never walk away from a real life friendship so easy... I have had to and it is hard... you keep finding reasons to keep them in your life... maybe that's the solution... come to SW so often that real life and online life bend so much that I can just cut anyone and everyone out if I need to

@Tryingtofindabalance: that sounds kind of harsh. While my friendship is just an online one, he still is very much part of my life. I can't imagine just cutting him out of my life even after just 9 months.
