Cable/satellite or over the air broadcasts-which do you think is better?

rckt148 · 61-69, M
I have a killer antenna and it picks up a lot of stations in HD Digital ,
but it does not pick up my favorite channels nor High Speed Internet ,
I was locked into a 2 yr contract with satellite ,I will never do that again even though the bundle is cheaper then cable for 2 years ,
in Florida with daily storms ,I hated it
During Hurricane Katrina Comcast had my cable back on in 2 days ,
my power was down for 2 weeks ,but my 12 volt system had me back up and running ,
I was real happy to be able to track the storm and watch some shows
I watch everything off the net anyway ,I personally prefer my high speed cable

Neither.

I stream everything over the Internet using my Roku 3.
@EnigmaticGeek: have you looked into kodi?

@AcidBurn: No, not yet. But I currently only subscribe to Hulu and Netflix on a paying basis. Once I watch all the TV shows that I'm currently into on Hulu, I will most likely drop it, and just watch netflix. maybe get HBO or Showtime, but not certain.

I've gotten to the point that I can't tolerate watching ad-sponsored TV any more. I just don't like my time wasted by the commercials.
@EnigmaticGeek: you should look into it. Basically everything is free.
Satellite is absolutely useless. It's raining so you're stuck inside? Guess what, you're not watching tv.
Satellite offers variety, but it's getting pretty expensive and despite what they want you to think, OTA can have higher def, at least in N. America
