Have you ever been through a tornado?

@Unsatisfiedstace: Really scary stuff !!

@AllAboutLaffs: it was. There were almost 150 tornados across many states from the Great Lakes to the Deep South. It is the 2nd largest super outbreak of F5 tornados in recorded history I believe. My town had some of the strongest of the bunch.

@Unsatisfiedstace: Glad you came out of it OK. I'm sure some of your neighbors didn't.

nearly all of the houses in our neighborhood had some damage - many had to be completely rebuilt. We were lucky and our house just needed to be re-bricked. Mom still lives there. I don't think anyone on our street was killed but many died in that outbreak.
It was after that when they installed the tornado warning sirens across our State.

@Unsatisfiedstace: When we hear those go off around here, we pay attention. It can get wild here in a hurry.

@AllAboutLaffs: hahaha. Most people in my home town walk outside to their driveway or the street and look up.
I would be the one frantically grabbing pillows and mattresses and helmets...screaming at everyone to take cover....at least that's how I was when i was a kid....maybe not now.

@Unsatisfiedstace: I'll go outside and look up and to the southwest too ... but not if the sky is that weird color ...
