What is HIV virus?

and what does s#x have to do with it?
I thought HIV is the one where you eat not properly cooked monkeys and then you get it or something... Isn't that what happened in Africa?

HIV is an immunity deficiency disease that has its origins in Africa. Orginally the US bought cheap blood from Africa that was infected with the HIV virus. This blood was given to US citizens who became infected with the aids virus. It is transmitted via sexual contact and was originally transmitted mainly through the gay community in San Francisco back in the 1980s. This eventually spread to the heterosexual community.
