Do you know instantly if you are attracted to someone or do you need to know the person first?

There's people I see and may be attracted to but once I know them, they're not as they seem.
There's people who you get to know and their personality makes them become more and more attractive.

Attracted? Almost instantly. But the real connection/chemistry takes time.

I definitely follow the instant my brain clicks. I may be confronted with a surprised retort, but my thoughts most always need to speak for itself. But you speak only of LOVE. I speak of friend and one I can feel comfortable asking a personal question that goes unasked.

When I was a teenager I probably thought I was attracted to someone then found out they were trouble,
But grew up and realised looks, first impressions or status are not everything.

Varies. In some cases I sense it by first look, sensing the vibes sent my direction. At other cases I am nothing but insecure, and out of reach not able to interpret even the most obvious signals sent at me. Gah.

People have to grow on me. It may not even be their looks...but maybe their facial expressions or the way they look at me. 😊

I know if I find theme physically attractive within 30 seconds.

but I don't know if they are attractive on a mental/emotional level for days or weeks.

Back to my teen years, I recall it was pretty much instant. As if there were Sparklers all around. A feeling of Dizzy.

I know instantly if I'm physically attracted to her, but it takes a while to know if we'd be compatible as lovers/partners.

Yes, I can tell right away what kind of person she is by how she looks, especially her lips and eyes

I know instantly if I am attracted to someone but sometimes after getting to know them I find that I was wrong.

Attraction can be instantaneous, but with some you have to get to know them and then they become dear to you.

I usually know very quickly if I am attracted...but the getting to know them is what makes it interesting.
