Why would such a young child want anything to do with someone my age?

I was asked out my an 18 year old. I feel like he needs to bring me a signed permission slip from his parents.

But your profile says you're also around that age
@Youni19: I'm almost 3 years older. At this point in life it feels like a lot.

Hm... that's not much difference in reality though. You're as much of a young child as he is @MorbidCynic:
@Youni19: I just always thought the girl was supposed to be the younger one

I never heard that before @MorbidCynic:
@Youni19: If you notice couples in society, at least where I lived, they were either peers or the guy was older.

My mom is two years older than my dad, my brother is 2 years younger than his wife.. I don't see anything wrong with it @MorbidCynic:
@Youni19: to me its weird. My grandpa was 21 years older than my grandmom, my dad is 16 years older than my mom. Its not what I'm used to.

Funny thing is that that is actually what society deems as "weird" these days @MorbidCynic:
I get it though. My grandparents and great grandparents were both around ten years apart.
Back then, where they lived, it was considered normal.
I, personally would never want that big of an age gap as I think it's kind of gross.
To each their own.
Why exactly do you think that the man should be older? I can't understand that
@Youni19: I guess its the way I was raised. The man was supposed to be the more settled and mature one.

That's a very traditional way to look at it @MorbidCynic:
@Youni19: lol I guess its just the way I am :')
