In some circumstances it can be safely assumed that if a certain event had occurred, evidence of it could be discovered by qualified investigators. In such circumstances it is perfectly reasonable to take the absence of proof of its occurrence as positive proof of its non-occurrence.

@SapphicHeart: that never occurred to me.

@dunpender: so profound. you spend a lot of time on that?

@dunpender: Deny logic and live happily in your unknown world of mysteries. You'll never find the answers on your questions in life by being blatantly ignorant.

@SapphicHeart: you are easily confused by sarcasm. proof above.

@StrictLoving: My bad, replied to the wrong person in thread. Happens when not the OP is the one getting back to you. I corrected the receiver of my comment while getting your response on it. Sorry for any inconvenience.

@SapphicHeart: my bad, too. that was just a stupid one liner. my sarcastic response is farther down the page.
@dunpender: Keep showing up your ignorance, it's a bliss.

I don't have sufficient faith to be an atheist. from that perspective, they have my admiration.

to hang your hat on nothing. literally nothing.

who created the universe? nothing.
who created life? nothing.
who created you? nothing.
what is there after death? nothing.
what reason is there to live?
@StrictLoving: Now replace human race with any animal on earth, and make an reply on them as you see them.
StrictLoving · 56-60, M
@SapphicHeart: where do you see "human race"?
@StrictLoving: who created you?
StrictLoving · 56-60, M
@SapphicHeart: you want me to say "who created ___" and then list the contents of Noah's ark? for what purpose?

Also, I never said, human race. I said "you". Indicating the reader.
@StrictLoving: I think your comment was very simplistic, and somewhat manipulative way trying to make a point that might not be valid. You neglect all science and their findings in that very comment. I did not make my reply to the OP to argue/discuss existence/non-existence of god(s). You and another member used my try, to show the OP that their logic isn't applying with their way of asking their question. I don't spend my time discussing politics or religions online. Tried it too many times, and it's simply not worth it. Waste of time as no one is paying attention, nor being open minded to really be willing understand where the other is coming from. I wish you a lovely day.

@SapphicHeart: no you don't. lol
DIMaverick4 · 41-45, M
@SapphicHeart: i humbly disagree .. especially from experience of indian history research studies .. absence of evidence is not evidence of absence ..
@mummaverick4: I believe the first line says something like In some circumstances.... Again, I'm not her to discuss the matter. I made a comment for the OP as their question is lacking in logic.
DIMaverick4 · 41-45, M
@SapphicHeart: that i agree :)
DiamondInTheMud · 31-35, M
@SapphicHeart: in some circumstances.
@Urchoice: Exactly. The opposite, and the phrasing of your question is however not holding any logic.
DiamondInTheMud · 31-35, M
@SapphicHeart: u guy like to have it easy don't you. There's logic in that question. If I'd said God does exist. You can certainly prove that there's no integer or natural number x satisfying the equation x square equals negative 1. X^2=-1. You can prove that integer does not exist.
