I once ran into a video game arcade and dived into the midst of teenage boys (I was in my 30s) to avoid a very creepy guy who'd moved into my rooming house and who had indicated an interest in me. I felt sure he had handcuffs and duct tape hidden in his room upstairs, just waiting for me. I saw him waiting in a movie theatre line where they were showing 3 movies. As I faked my way through a video tennis game, feeding all my quarters into the game machine, I reasoned it out and made the assumption he was in line to see the film with the most sex in it. So I waited about a half hour, then went to the movie with the least sex in it and sat in the middle in the crowd. I walked out nervously, but I did know that his movie had ended over a half hour ago.
I was relieved of this paranoid lifestyle when, blessedly a month later, he moved.
