It's in mans nature to destroy itself.
Over fishing the oceans
Mass destruction of woodland and Rain forest
Continuous burning of gasoline and fossil fuels
Non degradable plastics
Spent radioactive waste
All this and we haven't even got as far as why one type of people so badly Hate another type of people !
Why politics and social reform is so slow to evolve
etc.

@Picklebobble2: Excellent points. We have to change our ways in order to sustain our existence, but most people refuse to change until they taste regret, and by that point it's usually too late
