Ever read street names and wondered who named them and why?

There's a street in my town that's called Pretty Street. It's not even that pretty.

Yeah who named all these thousands of main streets

I live in an addition that has mostly girl's names, I think the real estate developer names the streets, I used to work for a realtor-developer-builder and he named the streets names that were of an interest to him.

When I was studying my family and social history, I did quite a lot of research on this, to see if some streets were named after my family. It's quite an interesting subject.

I've lived on Repsdorph, Donahoo, and West 5th North Street. I considered buying property on Fire Lizard Lane but it was too low and would've flooded every time it rained.

There is a street near where I used to work, called Bird Cage Walk.
