Maybe they enjoy your writing and like to narrow down their home feed just to those that they follow...some don't like wading through the trash. I wouldn't consider it any kind of soulmate contract just because you follow someone or they follow you. I follow Pearl Jam on Spotify because I enjoy their music and want to be able to easily access it....it doesn't mean I want to look deep into Eddie Vedder's soul.
