Why on earth do people follow you if they didnt plan to chat with you?

if you liked someones posts you would want to talk to the person even more...hence why i asked the question.

@annamarie65: maybe. or perhaps they find that people take things the wrong way in PMs (I'm not saying you do, I'm just offering possible explanations) and they want to watch what a person does for a while. I've seen a few users on here who login, post fairly normal, kinda interesting stuff for a while and then ... something snaps or they get bored or something and it turns into all the time dirty diaper fetish posts. (again, not saying you have or will. just offering possibilities).
it could also be they're just on a 'friend collecting expedition'; I know of at least one person who seems to be on a mission to collect views, hearts, followers... something. no idea why.

@DeadCowboy: i dont follow people till i get to know them, and i definitely dont go on friend harvesting missions.
