Why on earth do people follow you if they didnt plan to chat with you?

I know I follow people that have similar groups as mine to see what they post. I've learned about a lot of great new (to me) music, movies and anime. That's one of the nice features here is that you can have a huge number of diverse groups and easily keep up with the people and stories in those different groups.

@annamarie65: And that makes it kinda impersonal. Following a person gives you a better chance to get their opinions and views on it. :)

@Reboot: you can read what they say without adding them is the point i am trying to make, if you are in the same group you can read anyones comments...so im sorry but i just dont see a reason to add someone unless i want to chat with them and become friends.
