There are a lot of potential factors, but typically loss of consciousness occurs at around 25% total body blood loss, and death between 40-50%. But it's normal to pass out just from the sight of your own blood if there's a significant amount of it.

@Blue02berry: I'm still feeling faint over it

Yeah I don't blame you, I can't stand needles either, especially after having a blood test where they put this cream on my arm that was supposed to numb the pain; I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a placebo or what but it did absolutely nothing. You barely feel injections but that blood test felt like getting stabbed in the bloody arm, and I could feel where they stuck it into me even after 2 months. I need to get another blood test at some point to check if I have celiac disease since quite a few of my relatives have it, but I'm not exactly rushing to get it done after my last experience.

For me it's not just blood tests that causes faint and pain injections have made me panic and faint before as well no matter how small or painless it seems

depends on the person and their health. a pint is normally OK. 2 is pushing it.

@ErinFrisk: possible. I think if you're under.. I wanna say 120 or 130, they'll reject you. or if your iron is too low. many factors. it's not a really big deal either way.
