My snoring is an atrocity on par with what Leopold did to the Congo. Yet strangely, my ex liked it. She explained to me that when she was a girl, she and her mother had to flee her stepfather and hide out with her paternal grandfather. Her grandfather snored, and somehow that constant sense of presence reassured her. As a result, she actually liked my snoring.
