My dad was in the US Air Force. I'm a huge fan of aviation and especially Air Force planes past and presents
I truly understand your enthusiasm. The armed forces were not for me either. But that doesn't stop me from loving planes and aviation history.

That's really awesome. Thanks to your dad for his service. I guess, for me, it's not really the specific airplanes I'm interested in but rather just the experience of flying them and serving the country I immigrated to. I've always looked up to servicemen and women and it's just such an empowering concept.

@Killers: I agree 100. And thank you.
The US Air Force has a fabulous history. It's not very old but it's been busy. I don't how much you've read about it, but there's plenty to fill any time voids you ever have lol.
Enjoy!

The nice thing about joining the military is that they will get you in top condition very quickly. Don't let something like that stand in the way of your dreams.
The thing is, if I were to ever join the military I want to go to an academy like USMA or the USAFA, but I'd never qualify for them in my current physical condition.

@Killers: I am sorry to hear that.

@SweetMae: We just visited West Point, some of the most outstanding young people I have ever met.
