Yes ! Back in the 80s there was a theatre in Berkeley that would show the movie, and people would dress up and participate. I tried to talk my husband into dressing like Frank-n-furter but he refused. He didn't mind when I did, though. It was a blast !!

I remember that time when dressed up to go out on the town in that old 40's get up. That was hilarious. I loved Frankenfurter, he was quite a groundbreaker for that period.

@bijouxbroussard: 1979 or 1980. Midnight show at a theater in San Mateo, with high school GF. I think that normally, the place was a porn movie theater (yes, in those days, to watch porn, people had to go to a movie theater). I did not dress up. People had toast, and all sorts of things. She dressed up. First and last time doing that. She insisted we go, and I thought the whole thing was stupid.
