Is anyone else NOT looking forward to filing their taxes this year?

I'm walking around the store and people are commenting on how they'll spend their returns. Then they walk up to the register and they pay with their EBT cards... 🤦🏻‍♀️ Nothing wrong with public assistance but if you're getting a return shouldn't that return be spent on bettering your life and your childs life rather than the latest phones, gadgets or over priced sneakers?

I wonder if the Donald can hook me up with his account and if there are any loopholes I can take advantage of 🤦🏻‍♀️ Jk
I'd never do that. I think that'd come around and bite me in the ass.
I hate that I'm going to probably end up paying more than what they already took from my paychecks last year... 😖

I'm actually a moderate.

However the way I see it is if I can't make bank to get the luxuries I want when it not tax season than I should save that money for a rainy day.

I've been through hard times I've received government assist in the form of Wic and medical care for my kids and even a few bucks in food stamps for a few months when I was unemployed.

However when tax season rolled around and I was given a small return I (i had started working by the time tax season came around) saved it for an emergency- what If i ended up unemployed again? I needed to secure a month or two of rent.
I'm just saying that if we as humans are struggling it's not bad to get the assistance nor so I think people don't deserve it. however when you run into a few bucks or a couple thousand it would be wise not to spend it frivolously on needless and unnecessary labels rather than save it for an emergency or the betterment of your or your children's future.
We CAN and SHOULD make better choices.
But we can't force people to make them, it has to come from them.
