Writing from the other side of the pond I can say with complete certainty that I've found little about Mr Trump that I can honestly admire. Okay, he says what he thinks but that's all I've been able to find in his favour so far. He's not an experienced politician and he's not been slow to parade his inexperience or lack of political cunning before the world.
Couple things.
1. It's not a law. It's an executive order. An executive order would be superseded by any law passed by Congress on the same issue, which in turn would be superseded by case law should it come before the Supreme Court, which could in turn theoretically be superseded by a constitutional amendment. Executive orders only impact things that the president, and by extension the federal government, directly controls. In the case of this transsexuals-in-bathrooms thing, a given administration can just threaten to cut funding to public (and only public) schools that fail to comply with the president's decrees. Legal and illegal have nothing to do with this, these are just school policies being whimsically changed for bizarre, partisan reasons.

I just watched the video made during his campaign where he is SWEARING and PROMISING that he would protect the LBGTQ folks. Once again he is doing the opposite. Many see this issue as a Gay issue...it is not...it's a civil rights issue. Where are the assassins when you need them?
