Why do people fail to realize that bc man is flawed, and science is based on man made experiments it can also be flawed and biased?

I feel like people treat science as if it is another religion but for science atheists or something.

(Also, i'm a real science geek but i'm religious, and I can acknowledge science can be biased)

Keep in mind that religion was also created by man...

While I don't believe that religion came from man, I wasn't even comparing religion vs science as in some kind of war of which is better. You completely missed the point and brought no argument against my case, congratulations.
@offingg: How can you say that religion was not created by man? I'd understand if you said that the deities that people revere are not man-made. I personally don't believe that, but I respect your right to do so. But the concept of religion and all its corresponding rituals are man-made things. Religion is the belief and worship of a higher power. It's a system comprised of many things, not just the existence of said higher power. It's literally a historical fact that religion is man-made. (Here is an article about how religion evolved overtime: http://www.livescience.com/52364-origins-supernatural-relgious-beliefs.html)

Also, I was making a joke, but now that you've claimed that science is purely man-made and religion isn't, I'm squared up and ready to go.

Science is the study of pre-existing functions and conditions in nature. Although the study of scientific processes is man-made, the scientific processes themselves are not. For example, Physics existed prior to people calling it Physics. It just didn't have a name.

Also, anything humans do is subject to flaws, but the reason we can trust claims like "every action has an equal and opposite reaction" is because these claims have been tried and tested over and over by thousands of scientists. More recent claims should always be looked at with a impartial eye, however.

So I partially agree with you on your whole science-thingy.

@Killers: First as I said in the paragraph, I'm emotionally connected to religion, that I can not explain. However scientifically speaking, you can not prove the existence or even the lack of existence of God. Second, this is not me attacking science, i'm a firm believer in the power of science and study of nature, my major is even scientific based. You're looking at this from a view point that i'm a religious person attacking science, which is completely wrong. I'm telling you science is the STUDY of nature, not nature itself. Therefore, treating as if it's a religion would be wrong, bc science if flexible and capable of change, and humans are making these observations and studies, science isn't studying itself. Now tell me, are humans not capable of bias and error? That answers my question. Science in history has been racist and sexist, why? Bc it is being studied by humans.

@Killers: Also, science is man made, that is the entire point *face palm*. It is the STUDY of nature by humans. If you ever see science studying itself, please give me a message.

@Killers: Also, refer to my other answers on here, i'm tired of repeating
@offingg:

Where was I ever questioning the existence of God? I said your claim that religion is not man-made is incorrect.
I'm telling you science is the STUDY of nature, not nature itself.
That's also what I said, but the elements that are studied in science are a natural part of nature.

That's what I've been saying from the beginning as well. I just made a light-hearted comment about religion and you blew up in my face claiming that religion isn't man-made but science is, which is false because religion is also man-made. If anything I should be the one face-palming, because you completely misunderstood me, and made a big deal out of nothing.
