Why do people fail to realize that bc man is flawed, and science is based on man made experiments it can also be flawed and biased?

I feel like people treat science as if it is another religion but for science atheists or something.

(Also, i'm a real science geek but i'm religious, and I can acknowledge science can be biased)

This is true, but that's the intended point of the peer review process. Even that fails sometimes, of course. That said, good scientists are very willing to examine new evidence and change their opinion when the facts call for it.

I understand, but many people believe that science was never racist, sexist, nor biased. They do recognize it can change, and reform, and all of that, but they can't seem to completely visualize that science is a man made tool

@offingg: But that's a failing of those people, not science itself. "Eugenics" comes to mind as an example of what you're talking about. It was crappy science that had a pretty wide "audience" of acceptance. But in hindsight, it was clearly a shameful attempt to place black people as inferior.

Fortunately as humans, we continue to grow and slowly move past some of these useless biases. As we do, science gets "fixed" along the way.

@LookingForIt987: Okay, hold on, who created science? Science is a study of nature done by man. Science is not absolute. Science has been racist, sexist in the past.
@offingg: I agree. The most basic, unanswered questions; Who am I , why am I here? Self awareness is a human experience.

@offingg: I like how you got the last word here before you blocked the other poster because you didn't like what they had to say in regards to your post...It only goes to show that you have no factual evidence of what you speak... and when challenged you'll block someone simply because they have a different view than you do and are proving you to be wrong.

@JaggedLittlePill: His comment didn't say anything malicious, and I welcome well respected debates like this. You can tell him that. I blocked him when I saw his username adding me, and then I posted the question.

If I had blocked him for his comment, I would've blocked everyone else in this comment section, lmao
@offingg: The laws of science, how man sees life, the chaos, the randomness, the truth all existed long before man discovered them and will still be the same long after man is gone, for eternity.
