Californians have an accent?
@mic11225: That's odd. I've never heard fam but i've heard hella

@KaterinaPetr0va: yeah "hella" is definitely the words Californians say alot. They say like too though(as a verbal pause).
I'm talking about the stereotypical, Californian valley/surfer accent.

how does a general american accent sound?
Talk to someone in the Midwest and you'll hear it. I have a general American accent with a touch of Chicago.

I'm an Illinoisan. I've been to Wisconsin, never really noticed a difference in accents.

@Killers: ya gotta go north in Wisconsin. Madison,Door county and Milwaukee don't have the real accent :-)
