I have the old family Sony Bravo which still works fine. It might be nice to have a bigger screen, I suppose, but I don't watch that much TV, and this Sony is a literal workhorse with a good picture and sound. And there is no red light when the TV is off. I would think that "staring" red light would get annoying.
@Thexboxoneguy1991 Hmmmm... so the light is on when the TV is off and the light is off when the TV is on. That seems like a bit of reverse logic. But, okay... let's not dwell on that. The pic looks okay... not great, but okay. I don't see any pixilating and the colour contrast seems good.
Conclusion: I suppose you should just keep using it... since you are used to the "alert" red LED working in reverse.
@Thexboxoneguy1991 one of my first tvs would u believe it was black and white. I guess it use to be my dad old tv. For a long time I never knew the original Nintendo and super had color till my parent's gave me their old tv. I had that TV for a few year's till the speakers went out and I upgraded to a 32 inch RCA tv
