What would you think of this phrase “immigrants are stealing jobs.”?
There's often an emotional force behind it, isn’t literally about theft, It’s that someone who was expected to be at a disadvantage managed to compete successfully?
Their problem is more that the immigrants are not individualists. Immigrants usually operate on family first and community next, not just themselves dependant on only themselves.
This is all about control. And individuals are easier to control than larger groups of people.
