Talk about Victorian America

I've been in pubs older than America.

Queen Victoria wasn't here then and would have found it quite uncooth! To put it mildly. 🤣

The woman were considered worse than slaves in America. At least a slave could technically vote on paper, if not in fact. And slavery had just previously already been abolish, under queen Victoria's reign in the UK.

So much for Christian values in America then!

Your phrasing of the question's time period is biased towards America. When the correct wording would be "pre Emancipation".

"Victorian America" was purposely worded that way to avoid those subjects.

As if America had belonged to the queen or had queen Victoria's values,. When it clearly did not.
