I use to love the big dill pickles.

Oh, those are the best. Add a chunk of sharp cheddar cheese and it's heaven.

@Shattered...Used to make homemade dill pickles, put a grape leaf in a quart jar, large clove of garlic, a head of dill seed, and a hot cayenne pepper, pack the cucumbers, add a spoonful of pickling salt and some vinegar and hot water....those were the most mouth-watering dill pickles and all of them we made were eaten up in a few weeks.

@cherokeepatti: mmmmmmmmmmmm. So good with a roast beef and swiss cheese sandwich. Why am I hungry now?

@Shattered: authentic Polish pickles are good too, harder to find them, they were common in grocery stores 30 years ago.

@cherokeepatti: Yeah, I remember those.
