FreeorLonely When IU had a Japanese Hybrid, I also did not need to fill more than twice a month, but it was still a fillup when I went from my US home to my Canadian home, and the same in reverse.
I drive a European compact XUV, all EV. It doesn't have the range to get me from home in the US to other home in Canada. The fast chargers are not cheap, but the real issue is wait time, especially if there's not open slots.
I've modified my behavior to accommodate this. When I'm in my home range, I never need to go to a charging station, or smell gasoline exhaust.
The other big challenge is that pretty soon, the network buildup on the US side is going to slow down, with state funds funds dwindling as Trump cancelled all EV-related funds.
