What’s the gas price where you are?

Ours in the Fraser Valley, BC jumped up to $163.9/litre. 😠

It's about the same in Washington State, once you divide gallons by liters and then multiple by $USD to Canadian $. For those who need gas.

@Northwest I miss when it was cheaper, our dollar wasn’t terrible and I could drive down to get gas and an AM/PM chocolate milkshake.

@FreeorLonely I also miss when our US $ was not terrible as well :-) I drive an EV, so I'm paying less than gasoline, but I cross the border often, so charging on the road max it just as expensive as home.

@Northwest What do you drive? I guess the fast chargers aren’t cheap. I have a Hybrid (Mitsubishi Outlander) so thankfully only fill a couple times/month depending on my driving.

@FreeorLonely When IU had a Japanese Hybrid, I also did not need to fill more than twice a month, but it was still a fillup when I went from my US home to my Canadian home, and the same in reverse.

I drive a European compact XUV, all EV. It doesn't have the range to get me from home in the US to other home in Canada. The fast chargers are not cheap, but the real issue is wait time, especially if there's not open slots.

I've modified my behavior to accommodate this. When I'm in my home range, I never need to go to a charging station, or smell gasoline exhaust.

The other big challenge is that pretty soon, the network buildup on the US side is going to slow down, with state funds funds dwindling as Trump cancelled all EV-related funds.
