I have meet sweet people from everywhere, and I have met quite rude Asians as well. May be your idea comes from cultural difference or online interaction with a few. I don't know about sweetness, but I don't find Asians itimidating at all. May be it's my perception, based on crime stats in the area I live in, but any common behavior is more to do with culture than race.

@Kuronekko: I wouldn't assume that, his previous question we about a woman on ep who's sweet. So I think that's how he painted the whole pic.
