Why do men have selective hearing ?

LOL, Why do you think it's only men that do. Niece recently admitted to this condition, to which she said in her defense I just block some people.

While this is a generalization, men and women have different approaches to discussing issues. Men generally tend to spend less time talking things out and, I guess, selective hearing is sometimes used during these discussions.
