When I became homeless, in 2008, I took a bus to San Diego. The climate was right, but no one told me how mean the cops were.

some people buy one-way tickets to Kauai, they got quite a few homeless there that had the idea to be beach bums...they get stranded on purpose I think and they do feed them...wonder if any have any kind of luck getting temp jobs.
Portland Oregon and San Francisco California are the most homeless 'friendly' cities in the US, but I think I would go for San Antonio, Texas, where you can die if you're too stupid for sure. I would be the old man getting hauled away every other day for busking on the river walk.

I would have said southern California because it doesn't get too hot or too cold near the beaches but there are too many others there for the same reason.
The Pavillion in Venice Beach used to be one of my favorite hangouts during my long term camp outs.

@puck61: I've been to Venice Beach, that's a lively place for sure. Saw a lot of creativity there in making a little bit of money.
Maybe California? At least you wouldn't have the elements to deal with.

Thailand. You can live on the beach for a couple bucks a day, and Buddhism which is prevalent there, means you will be fed, without losing your dignity. Thus the couple bucks a day are not even necessary.

For a few more bucks
hookers and liquor are readily available!
neither are very high quality, but hell you're a freakin' bum!

I would live in the redwoods. Temperate climate and i could feed myself with berries. Plenty of soft stuff to sleep on, without too many bugs
