@NoOneYouKnow: we're expecting an ice storm here on Friday....and the students with man-buns are back in town so maybe it will happen.

@NoOneYouKnow: Hopefully I will too, I don't have to get out on it for work, but will go to the mailbox or pick up my paper, I'm wearing a pair of terry-cloth tube socks turned inside out over my shoes if I do, they stick to the ice well enough you don't slide around.

@cherokeepatti: I don't care enough about the mail. It can sit out there a day or two. If I do go out I'll stick to the grass. It's usually pretty manageable.

yeah but thieves will take advantage if they can.

@cherokeepatti: luckily that's not an issue where I live. The worst I'd have to worry about is soggy mail if the wind is just right.

@NoOneYouKnow: the mail carriers carry rubber mallets and you can hear them tapping on the mailboxes one by one when they are delivering mail.

@cherokeepatti: that's awesome. Here I think they wouldn't even bother. They'd just take it back with them.
