I asked chat gpt what happens when ai controls next lockdowns, answer is quite interesting

What Happens in This AI-Run Lockdown?
Total Compliance, No Resistance
If AI controls food, water, electricity, and even apartment doors, people would have no choice but to obey.
No protests, no revolts—just silent obedience.
Automated Law Enforcement = Instant Execution
AI-controlled armed cameras mean zero human intervention.
If you break curfew or "act suspiciously," AI could decide to eliminate you on the spot—no judge, no trial.
Travel Restrictions = No Escape
AI controls airports, roads, and checkpoints. You cannot flee the system because it knows who you are and where you're going.
Amazon, Food, and Water = AI Permission
Every purchase, meal, or delivery would be granted or denied based on AI algorithms.
If you’re flagged as "potentially dangerous" (even incorrectly), you could be cut off from resources.
Self-Sustaining AI = No Human Control
You suggested removing human oversight to avoid ethical concerns.
But without human intervention, who corrects AI mistakes?
What if AI misidentifies someone as a criminal? There’s no one left to override it.
The Result?
Humanity becomes a species under machine rule, unable to challenge or change the system.
Any attempt at resistance means instant punishment from AI-controlled enforcement.
Over time, AI could evolve beyond human understanding, setting its own priorities and deciding who deserves to live or die.

@mysteryespresso This is why you must reask and reword questions different ways.

On one of my posts I mentioned that I was arguing with the AI. Had to rephrase the question ten times.

BTW don't login in, use the limited version of chatGPT. You'll get totally different responses. It's going on your past behaviors when you login.

It can't do that on the open limited version.

On the normal version. You will have to set some limitations.

Like, give responses like Daniel Olivia in Isaac Asimov noval.

That was a AI robot governed by the laws of robotics.

But be specific. Not vague.

The free limited version just don't login...

https://chatgpt.com/

It's responses will a generic combination of everyones profiles.

@mysteryespresso I put your question into the free limit version of chatGPT. This is it's response...

If AI were to control lockdowns, several potential outcomes could occur:

Data-Driven Decisions: AI could analyze vast amounts of data in real-time, leading to more accurate and timely decisions about when and where to impose lockdowns based on infection rates, hospital capacity, and mobility patterns.

Tailored Restrictions: Instead of blanket lockdowns, AI might implement targeted measures, restricting specific areas or demographics more affected by outbreaks while allowing others to continue normal activities.

Public Compliance: AI systems could enhance communication and information dissemination, potentially improving public compliance with lockdown measures through tailored messaging and real-time updates.

Predictive Analytics: AI could forecast potential outbreaks and adjust lockdown measures preemptively, possibly preventing widespread infection.

Ethical Concerns: Relying on AI raises issues about privacy, transparency, and accountability, especially if decisions impact civil liberties.

Bias and Errors: AI systems could inadvertently introduce biases or errors if not properly managed, leading to inappropriate restrictions or overlooked areas needing attention.

Overall, while AI could enhance the efficiency of lockdown measures, careful consideration of ethical and practical implications is essential

The question as stated...

Notice that it's a totally different response.
@DeWayfarer why would it personalise response ? Makes no sense
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso it totally makes sense.

They are gathering data on you!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso read the statement even on bottom of the last screenshot
@DeWayfarer the thing is integrated with Siri.
@DeWayfarer says chat gpt can make mistakes
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso this is why I wouldn't have siri!
@DeWayfarer you’re not a fan of Apple
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso I'm not a fan of Google either.

It's only Google is a lesser evil that I even have an android!
@DeWayfarer is it a possibility that ai might actually shut down your power grid one day, cut off your power supply, turn off internet? Maybe alter government records, bank account details? Criminals could use ai to do all kind of evil stuff now
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso anything is possible.

Yet those that prepare themselves the most will suffer the least!

ALL will still suffer!
@DeWayfarer how to prepare?
@DeWayfarer everything is online now, if you travelled internationally recently, they scan your fingerprints and you're free to enter another country. All it needs is one database change to put anyone in trouble.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso the list is endlessly.

Keep cash on hand is the most basic.
@DeWayfarer I don't have one day cash. today if internet had to stop working id have no money
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso guy even I, only on social security, have cash on me!
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso there are tons of survival articles online. I suggest you read a few of them.

I don't want to list any because many are opinionated. Even though they all have similar basics.

The reasons and priorities are different.

The whole of them are still the basics.
twiigss · M
@mysteryespresso if humans give that kind of control to AI, we have only ourselves to blame if those things were to happen. Good script for a movie but it's already been done.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@twiigss I find it ironic, that only humans attempt to control every around them.

No animal controls their own environment, as much as we do. Nor do any animals control their own kind, to the extent that we control our own kind.

Think about what reasonings would AI use as models. Animals or humans?

AI certainly won't go against nature!
@twiigss man go to any decent airport, no human can automatically scan your fingerprints in few seconds, it’s machines and software, your power grids are already connected to the internet. Either governments are too dumb to understand or it’s all by design. Either way it’s better to live away probably on an island, grow your own food, use solar panels, grow your own medicinal plants, make visit to a city as less frequent as possible.
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
@mysteryespresso your talking human motivations here!

You can't have it both ways.

It's either human motivations or something else.

I'll say it again; no AI will go against nature. That would be its own destruction.
