It was actually King Charlie who offered Trump the opportunity for the USA to become part of the British Commonwealth since Americans already speak British.
@swirlie I don't speak British. I speak English even though I was born in the U.S. I grew up in Philadelphia, which is an English-speaking part of the U.S.

There is actually no such thing as speaking British.

King Charlie was teasing Donald because the English language did not originate from the British, in response to Donald telling him that the English language originated in the USA after the American Revolution.
@swirlie As I say. I speak English. Though I was thinking of learning British. Maybe I'll take a British course.

In that case, you should first take a German course. It was the Germanic language of north Germany from which the English language is derived from.
@swirlie What is the British language derived from? Do you happen to know?

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays
Like I said earlier in this thread, the British language doesn't actually exist.
@swirlie Are you sure?

Am I sure about what?
@swirlie Are you sure the British language doesn't exist?

Yes, I can assure you I'm sure.
