What comes to your mind when u hear the word January ? ❄ ❄ ❄
When I hear the word January I think bitter cold weather here in the North American region. I think hot chilli n beans. I think oatmeal. I think snow. I think about the Martin Luther King holiday. The Epiphany Christmas which is January 6. I think NFL Playoffs. And the NCAA College Football Championship. I think that January is a good month. Season of the Capricorn and Aquarius. It's a time to reflect. A time of rebirth. A time where you can start all over again. What do you think about this time of year. Best answer wins.
@Gibbon It's sad because in most "3rd world" countries I've noticed that this never happens. They have greater work life balance usually and maintain more time into adult hood to interact with people socially while working and raising family even if those interactions are just simple block parties or watching sports in the neighborhood with people they grew up with. Also families tend to live together for life or each have a house on the same street as my husbands family does back in his country.
It's never to late to volunteer somewhere to connect with others in your free time or join a church or reconnect with family. Wishing everyone a happy New Year
I think of grey skies overcast and the smell of snow in the crisp air. Peppermint hot Cocoa ..... my comfy timberland boots suede softened by time in nature, the elements ..... their bottoms rich with traces of the remained foliage....awaiting to tread the new . A new year, a fresh start... The beginning of all the beautiful new seasons and all the lovely holidays All the lovely new moments...... That's what January means to me.
