I remember the days when SW was a fun little town to be in. Everybody was so nice and sweet. It was calm and down to earth. It was upbeat and alive. Now the world has changed. People have changed. People are mean and snobbish. They are manipulative and backstabbing. They are sad and depressed. They are negative. They are just plain miserable. You used to could trust people not too long ago. But those times are long gone. Whatever happen to the good ole days. You know the days when you could just tell somebody how you felt, and they just all gathered together and embraced you. Remember those days. Where is the love. Does anyone here know what I am talking about. Happy Holidays. 😥 ☺
You described SW when it first opened in 2016. I would suggest this site is constantly evolving and unless an opinion is forced on someone, that people are pretty chilled.
@Zonuss The first part of SW was very incalcitrant with the relationships of others and became incredibly cliquish. I know a few people here so if there is an edge here now. I don’t notice it.
@Pfuzylogic Social media is a reflection of our society. When EP first started around 2008..2009 the world was a completely different place sir. People were different back then.
You are refusing to remember the cliques that once were oh so prevalent.
If you want those back, I would be totally surprised. You were one of the targets of them.
Yet with the advent of the changes in the algorithm, those cliques were rendered poweless.
Heck a few of those cliques complained about the algorithm changes. They couldn't target as well as they once could. They operated as network. The algorithm broke their network up.
I had my own run in with one of those cliques. It lasted a couple of years for me. Until most of them blocked me.
@DeWayfarer I don't worry about these losers who target others on this site. It appears that some people still have snot on their noses because they cannot grow up and act like mature adults. I remember when we paid a dollar for gas at the SW gas station and a cup of coffee was only a quarter. Folks had respect for their elders and children didnt take their iphones to the SW dinner table. Growls at all of ya.
I've been here 3+ years and it doesn't seem much different. Some here are good, some not so.
The TDS has always been in 5th gear regardless of any impending election, just by his mere existance. There are many who've made that their entire identity. Amazingly, many are not even American
But in the regular ol' silly banter it's still often very fun
@swirlie EP was better because of the people. It doesn't have anything to do with the platform 😊 I joined EP when Bush II was president. The foreign political landscape, after 9/11, was prickly yet EP remained a place where you could share ideas without vitriol. I don't remember the incessant name calling and asinine memes.
I hate to be the bearer of sad news, but this website as a group, has been conspiring for over 8 year now to avoid you, or to least hide from you, Zonuss.
But, we're all happy out here and we're having fun like you talk about and everything is rosy on our side of that 18 foot high concrete wall with barbed wire that separates you from the rest of us who live over here, so don't worry about us, we're all still nice and sweet to each other, nothing's changed! 💞
