It's in homage to a friend, really. I spent many hours with her, I loved her. We would talk about all things life, emotions and feelings. She loved writing. I had a favourite author and I shared with her my favourite author. I lent her a book, The Wind Up Bird Chronicles, by Haraki Murakami. I always awaited her responses and I got one from her, she called me her birdy, her wound up bird, and how we laughed together for she was more feisty than me.
It's in homage from how I loved her and it was the book I lent her before she passed away.
